Control Systems for Fans and Heaters

Temperature must be carefully kept within specified limits for the switchgear assembly to function optimally. Thermostats are indispensable for this purpose. There are two types of thermostats:

1. Thermostats for fans which are contact makers. The contact is normally in an open position and when the temperature goes beyond the set limit the thermostat closes the contact, starting the fan.
   Features:
   1. Wide temperature range:10 °C to 80 °C.
   2. 5/10 A, 250V AC / 120V AC
   3. DIN rail mountable, with blue knob
2. Thermostats for heaters which are contact breakers. The contact is normally in a closed position; when the temperature goes above the set limit the thermostat opens the contact, thus shutting off the heater. These thermostats have a red knob
   Features:
   1. Wide temperature range:10 °C to 60 °C.
   2. 240V AC/5 A, 120V AC/10 A
   3. DIN rail mountable,with red knob
